Dormouse (Muscardinus avellanarius) at Hembury Wood, Dartmoor, Devon. National Trust wardens empty the nests into a plastic bag and the dormouse is then briefly homed in a clear plastic container so that it can be sexed before being returned to the dormouse box. Dormice must not be handled unless you have a licence to do so.
