The pinnacled Octagon Tower on the valley side at Studley Royal Water Gardens, North Yorkshire. The Tower was created as an eyecatcher to highlight the view over the garden. John Aislabie began the creation of this Georgian water garden in 1716, and his son William continued the work in the later eighteenth century.
