The Chinese Bedroom at Belton House, Lincolnshire, UK. The decoration of this room dates from c.1840, though the wallpaper is C18th. The hand painted Chinese wallpaper depicts a continuous scene of a garden party. The cornice, dado and other joinery are painted to imitate bamboo. The bed dates from c.1840 and has a gilded and scrolled canopy and glazed chintz hangings.
