The Mary, Queen of Scots' Room at Hardwick Hall, Derbyshire. Despite the name, it seems certain that Mary, Queen of Scots was never in it. In the 1601 inventory this room was known as the Little Chamber within the Best Bedchamber. The bed is hung with nineteenth century black velvet hangings with Elizabethan embroidery borders and floral motifs.
